It's been an all female coaching environment during this last week, coaching at Trinity Academy, Halifax during the days on behalf of the West Riding County FA and Ovenden Girls for their "Join Our Club" scheme. Mark delivered 6 coaching sessions over 5 days to over 100 girls in different classes and, with the weather being fairly kind, they all managed to stay warm and have fun learning a few skills and playing matches. Thanks go to Gerry McAdam from Ovenden, who attended most sessions, helping Mark and handing out application forms for the girls who were interested in taking up football. As a result several possible new recruits showed an interest in joining Ovenden.
On Wednesday night Mark delivered a guest coaching session up in Knaresborough for the u14 to u18 girls at Scotton Scorchers. The girls play football regularly and the standard was high, so Mark put them through their paces with a few SAQ drills and worked on control and passing techniques as well turning and shooting.
