Catch Up Time

Many apologies for the delay in catching up on my Blog.  Much news on all sorts of fronts.  As you know, I've had to temporarily cancel Saturday mornings, due to my FA Mentoring and squad coaching commitments.  After Spring, I may be in a position to revisit this, to include girls' coaching too!

It's been an exciting start to what was ExPro Academies but now re-branded as Pathway2Pro Academy.  Things have moved on significantly and I'm delighted to be involved with the current and new lads, coming into our new centre in Keighley every week.  We've now played Leeds Utd, Huddersfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Eastleigh Academy sides, as well as a handy outfit from Lyon in France and some good local u21 and open age representative teams.  All these fixtures bring challenges for our lads and progress is being made.  Some more interesting news is that we will be providing development and elite level coaching for female players next season, working within the 15 to 21 years age groups at P2P.  More news later.

I've now completed around 70% of my FA Coach Mentoring hours this season, with my two great junior clubs, Greetland Goldstars and Springhead Juniors.  Their staff, from Chairman to young assistant coaches have all been a credit to their clubs and I'm thoroughly enjoying working with them.

We held the England Disability Talent Identification Pathway trials last weekend in Leeds and I'm really looking forward to leading the coaching for these 11-16 yr old lads, playing at a fantastic level, despite their challenges.  The six week programme kicks off in late April and it's a great opportunity for the lads that show and develop well to possibly represent their country.

See you soon.    Mark.

I was curious if you ever considered changing the page layout of your blog? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 pictures. Maybe you could space it out better?
